My name is chris.. im 23.. live in lasalle, and i got myself a 99 suzuki swift (2 door hatcback) in october 2004...no.. it was not my 1st choice (i wanted a focus).. but it only had 40,000 km and the price tag was easy on my wallet AND i needed a car fast cuz my last 1 broke....its.. umm white.. umm manual... no power steering.. nothing electrical... its your very basic car..and a huge stepback from my 6 cyl last car...

anyways... only thing ive done so far is drill in my tachometer (not hooked up).. i put in my jvc mp3 player head... put in my pioneer 2 x 10" subs in the back (i have n more trunk lol) and a kenwood 800 watt amp to boot...
the speakers in the back have been disconnected (not by me) and 2 sony speakers were installed in the trunk cover... the front i imagine are stock (anyone know how i can install 3 1/2" speakers into the front door, plz pm me)... the car is okay...so far all i changed was the o2 sensor, bushings for the shifter, drive belt, and it rides well.. from here to toronto on 1 full tank of gas is incredible (but only if u keep it at 100kph)...

Nice probe with a KL03 mazda engine. A friend of mine bought a KLZE (japan import) 250hp/lb-ft in his MX-3 Precidia V6 (it has a little 1.8L V6 above 115hp). The probe and MX3 body are almost the same ... the handling is incredible. With a MX6 tranny the guy hit 250km/h on highway. Since ... Mx3 isn't a hairdresser car


Your little zuki look clean. If you put the bass too loud, you would'nt heard the lousy parts on your car On hatchback cars, sometime the bass reflexion is better when the sub case is turned backward.

Also did you try to point your subwoofer in the trunk cover? Im pretty sure it's the BEST

4 doors sedan 3 doors hatcback , 2 doors sedan .. always pointing at de trunk cover have always give me BETTER result

ToadGTI: yes.. the precidia is the strangest care ever.. 6 cyl but only 1.8 liter.. and also.. my probe gt has a KLZE.. and to make a minor correction.. it has 200hp stock.. while the kl03 has 164 stock.. so if he has 250hp.. the extra 50 has to be from mods i imagine.. very cool tho..
also the kl03 is a FORD engine.. designed by mazda.. the KLZE is the REAL mazda engine (in my option anyways).. only mazda can get you 35 more hp from the exact same engine lol..with the probe ive managed to hit 195 km/h.. (i used to work in dorval airport, and i was leaving my house at 4:30 am lol so i had the whole 20 west all to myself.. so i was KILLING it.. but at 195.. the steering wheel was a little too crazy.. so i slow down)
yes i know i should make the subs point backwards.. but if i do that i ill have to remove the trunk cover (with the speakers in them).. i was driving like that for a while.. the trunk cover detached and just lying on the sub box.. but if i hit a bump big enough.. it would fall to the back seat...so i point it upwards now.. but even if i take off the amplifier.. i cannot close the back seat lololol.. the price to pay to drive a small car...

Glass Shadow: by trunk cover, you mean the trunk door or the plastic thingy that prevents ppl from seeing inside your trunk ???? cuz my subs are pointed upwards... and if you read my whole post.. youll see why

I was tolding you that subs is better to point BACK ..
So if you open the trunk subs are in front of you anyways .. ill take a pics of mine

glass shadow: you are absolutely correct.. its always better to put the sub as forward as possible and make it face the rear so it bounces off the trunk walls... but as i said... i cant close the trunk cover lid (i think its called parcel cover) with the speakers in it.. so upward they are.... and the suspension of the subs are not meant for this either.. so they will most certainly die some day...
but lucky 4 me.. i have 2x10" pioneers in my closet.. brand new.. so.. no problemo
